Gregor Blanco comes to bat as the Giants last hope but he grounds out to short to end the game with a win for the Detroit Tigers 7-3.

SUMMARY:

Another great game of Strat-O-Matic game in the books. Justin Verlander pitched a gem of a game, after a rough first inning where he gave up three runs including a home run to Pablo Sandoval he shut down the Giants offence. The threw a complete game and only have up 5 hits, struck out 7 batters and walked 3. After the first inning he retired the next 15 Giant batters.

In the other dugout Barry Zito went seven and a third before being replaced and gave up 7 runs, 15 hits, 4 strike outs and hit one batter. The Tigers clearly had his number getting hits in every inning he pitched and had runs scored on him in four innings.

At this point in my Strat-O-Matic replay the Detroit Tigers have one 3 games and the San Francisco Giants have won 2. The next game will be in San Francisco again giving the Giants home field advantage. They are going to need all the help they can get because one more loss will give the Tigers the World Series. Stay tuned!
